UPCYCLING FOR UNIQUENESS
Even with exact calculation of the required yarn quantities, small amounts of yarn remain on the bobbins after production. Since Cashmere is a very precious and limited material, the aim is to make good use of these leftover yarns and thus avoid waste.
FTC® has developed a technique to seamlessly join the threads of 100% Cashmere remnant yarns and our exclusive SeaCell™ Cashmere material blend. Since the remnant yarns have different colors and the length of the yarns also varies, the result is a multicolored yarn with color sequences of different lengths.
Due to the different colors of the yarns, unique styles are created during production and each product is unique. More about UpKnit here.

UPKNIT - Upcycling for Uniqueness
Ever since the company was founded more than 17 years ago, the topic of sustainability has played a decisive role at FTC®. With the upcycling line launched in 2019, the brand is taking another step in this area.
Even when the quantities of yarn required are calculated precisely, small amounts of yarn remain on the bobbins after production. Since cashmere is a very precious and limited material, the goal is to also put these leftover amounts of yarn to good use and thus avoid waste.
FTC® has developed a technique in which the threads of the leftover yarns can be seamlessly joined together. This process makes it possible to maintain the high quality of the material. Since the waste yarns have different colours and the length of the yarns also varies, the result is a multicoloured yarn with colour sequences of different lengths. Because of the different colours of the yarns, unique styles are created during production and each product is unique.
