Traceability

MADE IN GREEN BY OEKO-TEX®
FTC® is the first vertically integrated fashion brand to acquire the label MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®. The MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® label is an all-encompassing sustainability label making the invisible efforts of sustainable procedures and companies visible. Inspiring confidence, the label acts as a sign for transparency, social responsibility, environmentally friendly operations and consumer safety.

TRACEABILITY AT YOUR HANDS
This will ultimately be shown on all FTC® fashion styles through the OEKO-TEX® Label Check. Utilising an individual QR code on each product hangtag, customers can easily scan and access each step of their new piece’s manufacturing journey; from cradle to closet. Follow the creation from raw material sourcing, carding, dying and spinning of the yarn, to the knitting- and linking process of the style for a more sustainable fashion consumption. As such, product traceability, transparency and in-depth information are at the hands of the customer.
The process of achieving a MADE IN GREEN label is multi-faceted and consists of two essential OEKO-TEX® certificates: the STANDARD 100 and STeP. With FTC® becoming STANDARD 100 certified already in 2021, we have been deeply involved in proving our sustainable approach through the STeP investigation. STeP, short for Sustainable Textile Production, involves a thorough examination into all steps of factory production of clothing. This MADE IN GREEN label was achieved by FTC® in 2022 after a nine month long companywide investigation into sustainability parameters such as environmental impact, animal welfare, social responsibility and traceability.
Careful & Responsible
What distinguishes FTC® from other brands is the fully owned and managed supply chain. All steps from fodder production for our own cashmere goats and animal caretaking to fabric- and garment manufacturing are owned and managed by the company, which creates a more holistic approach for sustainable development. Baring this in mind, our customers can safely buy, wear and re-wear their FTC® styles knowing both head and heart have been immersed in the creation.

HAELIXA
Although FTC® is 100% vertically integrated, Haelixa, as a neutral partner, brings additional physical proof of the origin of the products and thus creates maximum transparency with regard to the entire value chain. This gives retailers and end customers the necessary security regarding the origin of the material used. The information about the raw material used remains inseparably linked to the material and ultimately the product throughout the entire value chain. FTC® products marked with the ingredient label "Marked & Traced by Haelixa" were produced with this marked raw material. Step by step, all styles made of 100% cashmere as well as styles made of the cashmere blends SEACELL Cashmere and Organic Cotton Cashmere will be marked with the DNA in the future.
DNA is used for marking, which is dissolved in water and applied directly to the raw fabric. By applying the DNA marker, the valuable material is not altered in any way and retains its high quality. Furthermore, the DNA marker is harmless to humans and the environment as well as GMO-free, vegan and approved by OEKO-TEX®.
